img_08261Fr. Justin Brian Arthur Frederick is a priest of the Diocese of the South, Orthodox Church in America, serving as the Priest-in-Charge at  St. Maximus Orthodox Mission in Denton, Texas. He is married and has three daughters.

This blog is his attempt to sharpen his mind, make him “an exact man”, and refine his native tongue  while he reflects on the times in which we live and how we should, or at least can, live in them.

  1. Fr.Justin, I am a Permanent Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church. I am interested in the Orthodox faith as there is much discord in the Roman catholic faith. Could you answer a question. What is a good English translation of an Orthodox Bible. I am married with a son of 19 years. I enjoy your blog as there is no source of inspiration for married men in the Clergy of the catholic church that I have found yet. Thanks for your blog. Blessings.

  2. Father Justin, I see in your wifes blog that you are a farmer. You may enjoy seeing some of our projects at St. Isidore’s Farm, where I work. I record some of our projects on my blog ( ), you might like to check it out.

  3. I’m not really a farmer. I’m trying to be a gardener and learn a bit of animal husbandry. I am interested in what you are doing.
